Strengthening Early Identification & Shared-Care Pathways in Pediatric Mood and Behavioral Health

JBRF is pleased to partner with the Children’s Mental Health Resource Foundation (CMHRF) for an upcoming webinar focused on strengthening early identification and coordinated care for children and adolescents with mood and behavioral dysregulation. This session brings together JBRF’s research insights and CMHRF’s expertise in family- and community-based supports to help clinicians navigate complex presentations with greater clarity and confidence.

Participants will learn practical strategies for recognizing early-onset mood symptoms, improving communication across care settings, and engaging families in developmentally appropriate, collaborative care. Presenters will also share tools that promote smoother coordination between mental-health specialists, primary care, schools, and community providers.

This webinar features Dr. Demitri Papolos, Director of Research at JBRF and a leading authority on early-onset bipolar disorder, and Dr. Robert Post, internationally recognized psychiatrist, researcher, and former head of the Biological Psychiatry Branch at the National Institute of Mental Health. Together, they will offer complementary perspectives on early identification, mood dysregulation, and emerging best practices.
